Used to replace an inward opening door to a small home study so has definitely saved a lot of space as well as becoming a feature piece. Thrilled will the overlook. It does come fully flat packed including the door in panels so be prepared for some good old fashioned DIY. That said don't be put off as the instructions are really clear and between two of us we had it made and hung in an afternoon. The sliding mechanism is robust and feels very good quality. The door itself glides easily and quietly as I was a little concerned of noise and rattling. Overall very satisfied as well as feeling quite superior of my own skills assembling and hanging!

I was surprised how heavy duty this was when it arrived. It comes in a thin long box but beware, as mentioned, it's heavy so you may need help lifting it. Clearly when taking it out of the box, you know you're not getting a complete door and you have to build not only the rail but the door as well. I was happy doing this and it took me most of a morning to put together but I must say, I was impressed with the quality. Whether having to put it together and pay the price advertised is value for money, I'm not sure, but I am pleased with it and it works a treat in an en-suite bathroom that had no room for an opening door as it would have hit the sink. This was exactly what I needed.

This barn door set is fantastic. Our bathroom door was taking up a lot of space and when opened it was covering the small radiator. Everything you need to put the door up comes in this set along with the door which takes away a lot of faff. The door comes flat packed so be prepared you have to put everything together, however, the instructions that come with it are straight forward and easy to follow. I believe we managed to sort everything out in 4 hours and got the door hang up. It’s not a hard job but before you install the backing board for the tracks and make it nice and level I suggest checking if your floor is level in the first place. Having installed the backing board and hung the sliding door I realised that my floor goes slightly up and we had to make few changes which added to overall time. All in all this is a great way to save a lot of space and add some character to your house. I am tempted to replace all of our doors with these kind of sliding barn ones as not only do they look great but save space. Great set, fairly easy to install.

The first thing I’ll say, is that this comes in a VERY long, and extremely heavy box. If you’re a small woman, like me, good luck getting it in the house. I had to leave it lying in the front garden until my husband came home. Not a problem though - it wasn’t raining and was way to heavy for anyone to steal. We’ve been toying with the idea of a sliding door for our bathroom for awhile. It’s a small room, and taking the regular “swings to the inside” door off would give us a LOT more room! So, when this came up, I had a quick measure and then took it. My husband decided that this would be our “Christmas task” so we’ll be putting it up in a few weeks. He’s had a look at all the constituent parts, everything is there, and since he’s a (hobby) woodworker anyway, he says it looks very easy to assemble. I will say - as someone else has already noted, the listing price on this has dropped £180 since then, from £439.99 to £259.99. That’s a pretty sizeable drop - was it a mistake? Or did they just realise it was way overpriced? Anyway, once we’ve got it up and finished with some wood oil/wax, It’s going to look great, and be a huge bathroom space saver.

Firstly, be aware that this comes in a long (and very heavy) box. So make sure you have sombody to help you move it. Once opened you have the task of getting it all out and ready to assemble. The sliding mechanism and hardware is good quailty, feels very solid and well designed. The instructions for fitting are fairly straightforward but again, I would say this is a two man job. The wood itself goes together fairly easily, although it feels quite soft - so will be keeping an eye on it to see how it handles some wear and tear, aswell as the occasional knock. I have stained mine, I did this before assembly and it took very well and didn't seem to interfere with putting it together - I just had to touch up a few parts afterwards. Once fitted it looks great, the sliding action is smooth and the whole thing feels solid. Seems good vaule for the price point.
